I enjoy being creative, when I was younger I used to sit in my room by myself and make little cards, certificates and name tags for my family, which I would then present to them. My mum still has most of them in a drawer in her dresser. I wanted to incorporate this part of my personality into my blog and I am going to post a project I do every 2 weeks or so, just for people's interest.
This is one of the projects I make often, and I give as a present to close friends and family. It's a lovely gift and I really enjoy making them.
My mum used to teach english as a foreign language and Japanese students would come and stay with us to learn the language and to experience a typical english family. I alway gave up my room for them to use and used to hang around outside waiting for them to let me in. One girl, who was very shy, used to invite me into her room and teach me some origami, we didn't used to speak, I would follow the folds she made in the paper and copy them. If there was a particularly tricky part she would help me out. At the end she would give me her beautifully folded piece of origmai.
When she went home to Japan she left me her origami set with beautiful paper and ever since I have loved making origami.
For this mobile you need to know how to fold a crane, here is a link to a instructional video which I believe is quite clear.
This crane mobile is for my friend for secret santa.

This is so lovely! I used to love origami when I was younger but I sort of just grew out of doing it, which is sad. I definitely want to try this out and I'm looking forward to seeing what other projects you have to show! x
