Knitting a scarf!

My mum taught me to knit when I was a little girl. She is a very keen knitter and makes lovely knitted jumpers, hats and scarves. She has recently bought a book on knitting which tell you how to make the most lovely presents. There is a very pretty knitted cushion, sounds old fashioned I know, but it actually looks very nice and I think would look lovely on a bed or sofa. There are some good idea for presents as well, such as a hot water bottle cover and a knitted toy dog which is very cute. I've started to knit the moss stitch scarf as requested by my boyfriend for his birthday on the 1st of January. It's a very simple design, using very thick grey wool and 12mm needles, knit a stitch and purl a stitch. Makes a very attractive scarf which looks lovely and warm.
